The number of new memberships available varies according to the number of existing members who do not renew.
After the intake, new applicants are placed on a waiting list and will normally receive an offer the following Spring. As an illustration of likely costs, a new member in 2007 paid a joining fee of £170 and an annual subscription of £350.
Restricted memberships become available to those who have been full Adult or Senior members for at least one year.
Applicants
for playing membership are required to complete a form, proposed and seconded
by two existing members, and return it with a £25 deposit. Applicants
who do not know any existing members may submit a letter of introduction
from their previous club. Those who join the waiting list receive a complimentary
Social Membership valid until the next renewal date.
Junior memberships will also be available in March/April. Junior applicants must also complete a form as detailed above but no deposit is required.
Social memberships are available at £10 per year to local residents and allow access to the excellent dining and other facilities offered by the well-appointed new clubhouse. New Social members are accepted at any time during the year on submission of an application form.
There are also a limited number of Corporate Memberships open to local companies at competitive prices (see list of existing corporate members).
